“If you see me out, make sure to say hello.
I want to meet you Miami!”
What have you heard about Art Basel?
When I think of Art Basel, I imagine all of the world’s greatest living artists descending upon Miami for one week to share their passion and their work. My first trip to Miami was shortly after last year’s Art Basel. All of my friends said I should have planned to get here earlier, but it didn’t work out. I actually think that was for the best because now I can say that my love for this city and its people is rooted in my experience with the everyday Miami, a city full of passion, potential, and creativity. Events like Art Basel are icing on the cake.
“My friends tell me to stock up on sleep… They say to do Basel right is to be out all day and night. There’s not much time for sleep. I’ve never quite experienced something like that, but I’m ready for it. I think.”
How would you describe the Miami art scene?
