Last Friday, I took a break from Sunfest in West Palm Beach to cover one of my favorite live bands, Vintage Trouble. I heard they were playing at a new spot on Miami Beach, called Faena Theatre. The theatre is located in the lower level of the boutique Faena Miami Beach. The Vintage Trouble show was only the second big name act to perform there, a few days earlier I was told Grace Potter performed and she killed it.
The Theatre is a cool little venue. The décor is retro in styling, but elegant as is the Faena itself. The theatre holds about 350 +/- people, has some VIP seating, several bars and plenty of floor space to enjoy a show. Vintage Trouble has never played in Miami, so they definitely welcomed the audience into the troublemaker family. Ty, Nalle, Rick, and Richard put on a hell of a performance as usual.
The crowd was super accepting, and got into the groove almost instantly. If you get a chance, Ty and the boys of Vintage Trouble are touring this summer in support of the Dixie Chicks. They will be making a stop in West Palm Beach in August, so go check them out.
