This was a great year in South Florida for live music. With the reopening of several venues this year (Bayfront Amphitheater, Pompano Beach Amphitheater) the locations for checking out live music were plentiful. Between Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County there are a dozen plus venues to see your favorite act perform.
Great bands made their way through South Florida this past year, like Van Halen, Train, Dashboard Confessional, Culture Club, Living Colour, Chris Robinson, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top, Whitesnake, The Fray, Kraftwerk, PiL, Anthrax, Motörhead, to name a few. Thank you to all of the PR firms and bands and their respective management teams for the access.
2015 Concert Highlights
I’m looking forward to 2016 and the many tours, and festivals that are making their way down here in 2016. Lookout for some new festivals this year with the Okeechobee Music Festival in West Palm in March, as well as the Rockfest 80’s festival at Markham Park in Broward in April. If you’re up for a road trip, check out the Inaugural Moonstone Festival in Orlando in April/May.
As always, we have several South Florida festivals to look forward to every year. Check out the Sunshine Music and Blues festival in January, followed by the Tortuga Music festival, which is now 3 days long. Ultra Music Festival and Sunfest in West Palm make for an amazing group of shows. I hope to see you at a show this coming year. Always support live music! Happy New Year!
