On Feb 1st, 90’s band The Verve Pipe came back to South Florida and played to a packed house at a “new” venue, The Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the performing arts. As a music fan of the 90’s, The Verve Pipe had several hits, “Photograph”, 1996’s “The Freshmen”, from their platinum-selling Villains album, as well as 2001’s “Never let you down”. Lead singer Brian Vander Ark and band put on one great performance. The venue is new to me, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the size and sound.
The Verve Pipe is on the road promoting an upcoming album ‘Parachutes’, which is available now, so pick up a copy. The band is fantastic live, and you can see that they truly enjoy being on stage. The mood and vibes were fun, and the crowd had a great time. The stories, anecdotes, like writing a song for a Mark Wahlberg movie “Rockstar”, made for a fun night. Hopefully, they will continue to tour and play live, as well as release new material for years to come. If you get a chance, go catch The Verve Pipe.
