You may have seen them around town and about, from monthly pop-up shops at Lester’s Dandy Rock, to Second Saturday Wynwood Style Market, it’s hard to miss the dope duo behind Nic Fit Vintage. Sergio and Nicole are making their mark in Miami’s fashion scene, bringing rare 90’s and psychedelic vintage to the masses.

As a long time follower and buyer, I’ve always loved their music-driven style and recently had the opportunity to catch up with Nic Fit to ask a few burning questions. I was especially thrilled when they gave me an exclusive look at their retro-inspired Spring/Summer 2013 Look Book!  Satisfying your vintage fix!

How did you get started  selling vintage?

Sergio: I started from going to concerts in Middle School and buying band t-shirts. In my late 20’s I had way too many t-shirts and decided to list them on eBay. From there, I started selling all kinds of vintage clothing and business just kept growing.

Nicole: Sergio wanted to integrate women’s clothing into his store, so I decided I would focus on that. And to us, starting a family business made sense.

Nic Fit, very dope name, how did you come up with that?

It’s a song Sonic Youth covered on their 1992 Dirty album. It’s actually from a DC hardcore band, called The Untouchables. Both versions are awesome. Nic Fit is short, sweet, and to the point.

Influence-wise, you guys seem to really reflect a unique look. Who or what influenced your aesthetic?

We’re really into early 90’s music and fashion, late night MTV, Spike Jonze, Frank Kozik, and psychedelia.
