Our friends behind the Beaux: Happy Hour are inviting Miami to take a trip over the bridge to celebrate the unveiling of a new mural at Kill Your Idol this Thursday, November 8th. The mural artwork is the result of the collaborative efforts of the talented – Felipe Reinoso, Rebecca Tellez and of course, StrangeWays.
The shows’ theme revolves loosely around the Day of the Dead and at Beaux: Happy Hour the bar is an altar. They’ll have the usual drink specials, plus, they are also throwing in an hour of open bar to start the festivities. Felilpe Reinoso, Rebecca Telle, and StrangeWays will be hand painting the mural with black and white artwork — should you expect marigold flowers and sugar skulls? Probably. Personally, I’m thrilled! I’m a huge fan of all that is dark and twisty. Let’s check out some of the artists’ work, shall we?
FELIPE REINOSO
Felipe Reinoso is an illustrator, painter, and part-time tattoo artist at Hell Bound City Tattoo in Wynwood. You know that tattoo shop that always throws the great parties? Below are some of our fav tattoos’ and paintings’ by Felipe Reinoso (stolen off his Facebook and the interwebs, thanks):

REBECCA TELLEZ
Rebecca Tellez is both a digital and traditional illustrator. Her work often contain characters who are not afraid to appear naked, foolish and charming. As a graphic designer, she works for a T-shirt company and is also an associate at one of our personal favs – Optic Blast Studios!
“My love for surrealism, street art and b-culture are the backdrop to my quirky universe and the creatures that inhabit it.”
When designing typography, Tellez like to use two different fonts and fuses them together. She makes it her own by adding her own hand drawn elements. Check it:
STRANGEWAYS
We’ve told ya about Beaux and what Luis Pinto does via StrangeWays already (also, see: Beaux Idols With Strangeways). Here’s photo recap of the StrangeWays Issue 12 release party and the art installation we mentioned.
