In conjunction to Art Basel and its many satellite fairs, the University of Miami’s College of Arts and Sciences Art presents The Fourth Annual Cane Fair in collaboration with university’s Art History Department. The fair will showcase the works of several students pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts.
The Fourth Annual Cane Fair, held from December 1st to December 4th 2011 at the Wynwood Project Space, will be showcasing artist pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts at University of Miami. The works cover several mediums, including photography, sculpture, prints, installation, ceramics, and paintings. The Masters in Fine Arts, a three-year program, prepares students to enter the professional studio art world and qualifies them for college teaching. Admission to the program is highly competitive and includes international applicants.
This year, the featured artists include painter Jacqueline Gopie, photographers Cynthia Fleischmann and Sean Black, print-maker Abraham Camayd, graphic designer Michelle Roy and sculptress Leah Brown.
This exhibition runs from November 29, 2011 to January 27, 2012 at the Wynwood Project Space, located at 2200 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127
There will be two opening receptions:
- Saturday, December 3, 2011 – 6pm to 10pm.
- Saturday December 10, 2011 – 2pm to 9pm.
About University of Miami’s Wynwood Art Exhibition Space
In May 2007, The UM Project Space opened its a 3800 square foot exhibition space in the heart of Wynwood Art District. The space resides on the corner of NW 2nd Ave and NW 22nd Street in a distinct Art Deco building. You can’t miss it.
In addition to the annual Cane Fair, the UM Project Space presents critically acclaimed exhibitions every Second Saturday Art Walk. The Exhibitions Committee reviews proposals in May of each year.
