Sounds pretty simple, right? Well, it’s not. That’s why Miami’s The Hongs do it so well. They leverage their members’ talents to do so. In 2008, Jamaican-born musician Gordon Myers got this multinational group together and set out to make good music people can dance to, and they’ve managed to become one of the most popular bands in Miami’s music scene.
Tonight, The Rhythm Foundationkicks-off their 11thAnnual Celebration of Modern World Music – The Heineken TransAtlantic Music Festival at the oceanfront North Beach Bandshell.
The Heineken TransAtlantic Music Festival showcases the sound of the world right now. The weekend line-up includes live performances by locals such as The Hongs and Krisp, plus a few pretty spectacular international acts like Bajofondo and Bomba Estereo.

Much has been written about TEEPEE, the eclectic and distinct musical brainchild of Miami’s Erix S. Laurent (born Eric Lopez-Zareño), a man who eats nothing but fruit and music.
But to try and accurately describe what TEEPEE sound musically (phonetically they sound like toilet paper or conical tent) is almost a clusterfck.

Post-punk, psychedelic rock star band Crocodiles just released their third full-length album Endless Flowers. After spending serious time in the recording studio they are now relishing in the summer sun with nothing but open roads ahead.
On Friday, July 20th, the road brings Crocodiles back to Miami for a much anticipated encore performance.
