On Friday, January 4th, 2019 art lovers of all kind descended upon Churchills Pub for the 4th Annual Oski Awards. The award show kicked off around 9 PM and continued into the early hours of the morning.

The Oski Awards honors the hottest underground bands and artists all in one very special night. All the bands and artists nominated have performed previously at one of the many official DJ Oski shows or festivals that happen throughout the year, and the majority of winners are chosen by popular vote of the public.

The awards, included performances by Baraja, Neowulf, ToneG Music, Ice Squad, Zamunda Futuristica, VTF Project and more. The highlight for Salup was Drawing Bored (sadly sans Laura Silver) which played together for the last time. After the set, all you could hear was Sebastian (Seabass) saying “Drawing Bored is dead, long live Drawing Bored” said Salup.

Oski Gonzales, a music artist himself who celebrated his 50th birthday in October, is the organizer of the annual award show. “It’s just my way of giving back,” said Gonzales. He is a one-stop shop for artists, helping them with everything from booking gigs, to designing their promotional materials.
