Time For SomeSoul Food

I had a conversation today with a business colleague around client dinners. Also known as “a wine and dine.” They start off with drinks, followed by several courses at a pricey establishment, then after dinner drinks! In any other city, it ends there. But if you’re doing a wine and dine in Miami your client will likely be looking forward to some post-dinner entertainment as well.

Why is that? Because Miami is known for it. Our magical city nights, the wonders of “South Beach.” We’ve got everything here, from clubs to culture. Architecture to Art. A little bit of this, and a little bit of that. Take for example the Rhythm Foundation, who for the last 30 years has brought an eclectic array of events to feed the souls of the people.

Get your fix this Friday when the foundation brings the Sai Anantam Singers to perform live music in the outdoor theatre they manage for the City of Miami. Enjoy free parking after 6 pm in the lot at 73rd Street and Collins Avenue is closest, or if you plan on sipping at the bar take the free North Beach trolley.

The event, called Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda: The Ashram Experience, will feature the sounds of Alice Coltrane, a legendary jazz musician, and the wife of John Coltrane. Her daughter will guide the composition.
