BEHINDTHE SCENES:MINI FESTWITH ROLLING BLISS

I’m a huge music fan. It could be a silent disco, a jazz show, rock, pop, or hip-hop. I just love music. Sometimes at work when I have down time and the mid afternoon slump hits I’ll scroll through Eventbrite looking for shows. Recently I came across an event called MiniFest. It grabbed my attention. It had local bands, different genres, vendors and it was free! I did more digging and found out it’s part of a series of on-going festivals in Miami. Count me in!

What can you expect at Minifest? The event features on stage live music performances, with a vendor village in the VIP room, artists collaborating on a canvas, lit ambiance, and beautiful people.

The upcoming MiniFest on  August 21st includes performances by Forty Street Band, Soft Cricket, FolkTale SanPedro, and Moongazer.

There is something interesting about each band:

Forty Street Band

Lead on vocals and guitarist Carlos Alfonso says we can expect Rock n Roll FortyStreet band. Nothing more, nothing less. Soft Cricket is an ongoing music project with composer and guitarist Nourdine Garami, one of the pioneers of this band. He is now the last original member of this poetic must see band.

FolkTale SanPedro

This indie group hasn’t performed in a few years. Coming out now with original music people can expect a show out of Paco Villafane the creator of the personal project FolkTale SanPedro.

Moongazer

Lastly, the psychedelic band Moongazer has been working on their second album all summer. Keyboard player Phillip Micheal says to expect their best on August 21st.

During happy hour and intermission Dis Jocky Be, a hip to the scene and past drummer of Sortory Kings turned DJ will be bringing sounds to the table.

What I love about MiniFest is that it’s a mix of genres but a  crowd of like-minded individuals. Not to mention the venue 1306. Their stage is the best stage in Miami with 100k equipment, an LED light backdrop, and a 4-foot tall stage. This is a do not miss event.

Again this is free entrance for anyone 21+.

More information on the event can be given under the event platform Rolling Bliss (IG: @rollingblissfest). They have a monthly MiniFest with different bands at 1306.
