They were already pretty involved with music prior to joining up as Poolside in 2010. Filip was once Junior Senior’s touring bassist while Jeffrey was the front man of a band called The Calculators, who he left after two years and led its remaining bandmates to go on and form The Rapture.
Aeroplane featured “Take Me Home,” their second single, on his highly acclaimed In Flight Entertainment compilation.
They released their debut album, Pacific Standard Time, with no intention of making it big and it was the beginning of their daytime disco movement (you feel like you’re in a sunny paradise when you listen to it).
