Everything that you want from a festival is waiting for you at the House of Creative Music Festival. Day one just wrapped and if it was an indicator of how day two will play out, it’s going to be epic. What can you expect from this clearly carefully curated experience?
Intimacy & Access:
I strolled onto the beach and bumped straight into some of the members from the band Jaialai. They were roaming around, mingling, and enjoying the art installations with their significant others and friends. When Chromeo performed a DJ set at the beach tent, fans were literally close enough to fist bump them at the end.
Wet & Wild:
Did someone say beach party? Bring your bathing suits lovers, this festival is situated right on the turquoise waters of Miami. While I didn’t see anyone frolicking in the ocean tonight, the backdrop of the sand and aqua are pure picture perfection. The jury is still out on whether actually “getting in” is permitted, #merica, but you can bet I fully intend to find out mañana. 😎
Food & Fun:
The service at check-in and the pop-up shops is excellent. Everyone is in a great mood! They have interactive art installations, a range of interesting vendors and OMG the poutine, the coconut water, the tacos, and vegan options too. Swag is reasonably priced, and the drinks are strong.
For day two I’m looking forward to seeing the special surprise planned by Jaialai, [4 pm], watching the internet sensation, badass rapper duo, B.A.G. perform, [5 pm], and of course, see all the styles from fellow festival goers.
