Zoolens Photography Project: Special Event at Zoo Miami

Saturday, October 3 2015

10:00 AM-12:00 PM

In celebration of Mercantil Commercebank’s ZoolensSM Photography Project, middle school students (grades 6-8) from Miami-Dade County’s public and private schools are invited to attend a special event at Zoo Miami on Oct. 3. Ron Magill – Nikon® Ambassador, Zoo Miami’s Director of Communications and noted wildlife photographer – will lead students on an exciting walking tour to enjoy exclusive animal experiences and wildlife photography tips. Representatives from Pitman Photo Supply will be on hand to offer gift certificates for either two free 12” x 18” enlargements or 100 free 4” x 6” prints.

Developed in partnership with Zoo Miami and the Zoological Society of Florida, the month-long contest encourages Miami-Dade County middle school students to visit Zoo Miami, creatively photograph their favorite animal and enter the photo for a chance to win great rewards, including a $2,000 grand prize. The 2015 project will run from Thursday, Oct. 1 through Saturday, Oct. 31 and students interested in participating must submit an original, artistic photograph of a Zoo Miami animal before 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 2. Submissions can be made through a student’s school or at any Mercantil Commercebank banking center, and further guidelines are available at www.Zoolens.com.

Student admission free with one paid adult; coupons available at www.Zoolens.com
