YoungArts Backyard Ball Performance and Gala

Saturday, January 13 2018

6:30 PM-10:00 PM

On Saturday, Jan. 13, the National YoungArts Foundation will host its largest annual fundraiser, the Backyard Ball Performance and Gala presented by Max Mara. The culmination of YoungArts’ most prestigious program, National YoungArts Week, the celebratory evening will bring together prominent artists, community leaders, alumni and celebrities to recognize the 2018 winners of the week.
This year’s event will honor playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney for creating the story behind Moonlight, and he will also be in attendance to read a passage from the original work. The elegant evening will also feature a performance by Grammy Award-winning Grace Weber, the first woman signed to Chance the Rapper’s label, and will look back on the generations of artists supported by YoungArts, including celebrity talents like Kerry Washington, Josh Groban and Entourage actor Adrian Grenier to more recent names like artist Daniel Arsham and Crystal Kayiza, a Sundance 2018 Ignite Fellow.
Following the event will be the Backyard Bash—an exclusive after party.
