Enjoy the release of Que Quat, a Kumquat Berliner Weisse and winner of Concrete Beach’s last What Brews You contest, submitted by Will Isaacson. Que Quat is a Florida take on a German tradition. Berliner Weisse beers are refreshing and tart, from the influence of lactobacillus during fermentation. This beer will touch on those points with the addition of the delicious overtone of kumquat. Beer lovers in Germany often add flavored syrups to this style of beer to balance the flavor. Concrete Beach Brewery will feature a syrup bar with two kegs of regular Berliner Weisse, so guests can mix and match to suit their tastes. The event will also celebrate the kick-off of the next What Brews You? contest, which begins on February 1st.
