Back by popular demand- Orchestra Miami’s series of outdoor concerts for the community!

“Beethoven on the Beach- Sumptuous Strings” features the string ensemble of Orchestra Miami, performing works by Bartok, Holst, Tchaikovsky and Beethoven, conducted by Orchestra Miami’s Artistic Director, Elaine Rinaldi.

This year’s concert begins with the gorgeous and exotic Romanian Folk Dances, Sz. 56, BB 68 by Hungarian composer Bela Bartok followed by a rarity- Beethoven’s “No, Non Turbati”, a concert aria for soprano and string orchestra featuring local favorite, Jouvanca Jean-Baptiste, as the soloist.

The first half concludes with Gustav Holst’s lively and spirited “St. Paul’s Suite” Op. 29 N. 2.

The concert concludes with Tchaikovsky’s sumptuous and beautiful Serenade for Strings in C Major, Op. 48. • Sunday, March 8, 2015; 7:00 PM at the Pinecrest Gardens “Banyan Bowl” (11000 SW 57 Avenue) in Pinecrest- gates open at 7:00 PM – General Admission Stadium Seating.

Concessions will be available (all proceeds to benefit Orchestra Miami); Suggested admission is $10 per person, however, no one will be turned away!
