FREE and open to kids of all ages!

Relief printing is the process of cutting or etching a surface in a way that all that remains of the original surface is the design to be printed. Examples of relief-printing processes include woodcut, linocut, metal cut and even potato cut! The MDC Collection includes great examples of relief printing by artists such as Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky and Erich Heckler. Stop by for an afternoon of exploration of this early art form with contemporary, kid-friendly materials!
