Everglades Foundation Commemorates 20th Anniversary of Landmark Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) at Fourth Annual John Marshall Everglades Symposium
10:00 AM-4:45 PM
The Everglades Foundation has been at the epicenter of Everglades restoration advocacy since the inception of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan. This year’s Fourth Annual John Marshall Everglades Symposium will be a celebration of the 20th anniversary of CERP with a focus on the importance of restoration to Florida’s environment, economy, and future.
The virtual event, to be held in a series of panels throughout the day on Friday December 11th between 10:00 am to 4:45 pm, will bring together key players in Everglades restoration into four panel discussions — The Journey of CERP; Our Clean Water Economy; The Next 20 Years; and Future Leaders in Everglades Restoration.
Panelists include: South Florida Water Management District Chairman of the Governing Board Chauncey Goss; Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Noah Valenstein; Captains for Clean Water Co-Founder & Program Director Chris Whittman; Local 10 Reporter Glenna Milberg; Maverick Boat Group President Scott Deal; and Encounters in Excellence Co-Founder and Filmmaker Richard Kern.
