June 29, 2015, Miami, FL – Detect Ovarian Cancer in Time (DOC IT) presents the Fifth Annual Celebrating Life, a free event to welcome the summer and celebrate cancer survivors at the trendy Brickhouse in Wynwood.

What: The 5th Annual Celebrating Life

Where: Brickhouse – 187 NW 28 Street, Miami, FL 33127

When: Wednesday, July 29th from 6pm to 9pm

Why: Celebrating Life was originally created to celebrate the life of Martha Casado, the founder of DOC IT, who sadly lost her own battle with ovarian cancer. The event has transformed into an affair that aims to bring awareness and celebrate survivors, while raising funds for DOC IT projects.

About The DOC IT Foundation

Detect Ovarian Cancer in Time (DOC IT), is a 501(c)3 organization based in South FL.

DOC IT believes awareness is key in beating ovarian cancer, as there is currently no screening test to detect ovarian cancer. Often called “the silent killer” ovarian cancer often starts silently, not showing symptoms until its later stages.

DOC IT is currently raising money for their “Look Good, Feel Good” project which gives away wigs, make-up and makeovers FREE to cancer warriors currently fighting cancer.
