“We are celebrating the many women that help our community behind the scenes,” said ConcreteSpace’s Flor Mayoral, M.D. “Too often, women are unsung heroes, and we want to honor them on International Women’s Day.”
International Women’s Day, first observed in the early 1900s, celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. A global event, it includes a call for gender parity. The Invisible Woman exhibit is an official International Women’s Day event, as listed on the main website, https://www.internationalwomensday.com.
ConcreteSpace is a gallery of art, projects, and ideas. Launched in 2015, it presents contemporary art and emerging artists. The exhibit is presented by Dr. Flor Mayoral and Marcelo Llobell in collaboration with Power 2 Voice, a non-profit organization.
