YoMiami presents: “Paul Julmeus and Andrés Taboada…ESCAPE FROM MIAMI” Paul and Andrés are coming back to the city where it all began to co-headline a night of hilarity! Joining them onstage will be Miami’s own John Gregory, and Ultimate Miami Comedian winner and all-around South Florida legend Freddy Stebbins! Suggested donation: $5 (cash only)

Paul Julmeus is a young rising comic coming out of Miami’s burgeoning comedy scene and currently lives in New York. His unique confessional story-telling style of comedy and off-beat timing will have you crawling in laughter while slowly trying to escape the grasp of his awkwardness. With his conversational delivery, he lets everyone in on his weird secrets and views on the world. His topics arrange from race, life, death and failed romances.He also plays himself as one of the main characters for a web series called Miami Mic Boys. He is in the Off-broadway hit called Hidden Fences that has appeared in New York City Comedy Festival and he has opened for Eric Andre at Gramps!

Andrés Taboada was born in Peru, but at the age of sixteen, his parents sent him off to boarding school in Germany, where he realized he wasn’t white. He went to college in California and then moved on to work as a teacher in India and Thailand. Eventually he came back to the States, and Miami is where he performed stand up for the very first time. Andrés now lives in Los Angeles, where he recently won the Funny and Foreign-Born Showcase at the Glendale Comedy Festival. He also won the award for Best Comedic Actor at Miami WebFest for Miami Mic Boys, which he wrote, directed, and starred in. He’s had too many twisted lives in a few different continents and is more than happy to make you laugh about it.

Freddy Stebbins is one of Miami’s most popular comedians. A professional comedic artist/performer, he combines freestyle character impersonations, stand-up, satire, accents and schtick. Recently named 2017 Miami’s Ultimate Comedian and 2016 Miami New Times Best Comedian, Freddy Freddy’s one man shows have been critically acclaimed and immensely popular. He is the voice behind several attractions at Universal Studios’ Islands of Adventure, and the voice of SHAKE108FM. With a Master of Arts, (University of Miami), Freddy moved to LA and trained with America’s most prestigious improv troupe; “The Groundlings” (of SNL fame). As a stand-up, he is a regular headliner throughout South Florida. His weekly stand-up show was recently acclaimed in the Miami Herald as the “place to be”. Freddy has opened for national headliners, Jon Lovitz, Carlos Mencia, Al Jackson, Eric Myers, Hal Sparks, Aaron Berg, Brett Ernst and many more. His credits include extensive work for the TravelChannel and Los Angeles Dodgers Radio. Freddy is also a quite popular Social Sciences Professor at Miami Dade College and part-time local historian.

John Gregory is a veteran of the South Florida comedy scene. A two-time finalist for Florida’s Funniest Comedian, John has opened for Eric Andre and Dan Soder. John uses his sharp wit to make audiences laugh every Thursday at Taurus in Coconut Grove.
