Climate Ready Miami Neighborhood Workshop – Liberty City/ Model City

Thursday, September 19 2019

6:30 PM-8:30 PM

The City of Miami Office of Resilience and Sustainability is hosting a series of workshops this summer to
educate residents on the risks their neighborhood faces from climate change as well as get their input
on what issues and initiatives should be prioritized in the City’s “Climate Ready Miami” strategy.

There will be a Climate Ready Miami workshop on Thursday, September 19 at Hadley Park at 6:30pm.
This meeting will focus on the vulnerabilities specific to the Liberty City/Model City neighborhood. Some
light bites will be provided as well as child care.

When it’s complete, Climate Ready Miami will lay out a multi-year plan to address risks from sea level
rise, stronger storms, and rising temperatures. It also includes actions to better prepare homes,
businesses, neighborhoods and infrastructure for changing climate conditions.
