The collections assembled in this exhibition are chromosomes of the process of synthesis; a necessary step in a practice of art Peter Wayne Lewis calls “analytic”. To understand, he says, is always “to unbind, to de-compose, to sequence and in a way to destroy the figurative, to densify, to give thickness to the sensible”.
