2nd Annual Winter Wonderland

Sunday, December 15 2019

11:00 AM-4:00 PM

Make your December a little cooler by joining Frost Science for the 2nd Annual Winter Wonderland. Explore how colder temperatures impact states of matter in the Let It Snow live show, when liquid nitrogen will be used at a frosty -321F°, to freeze everyday objects and explore what happens to them. Then explore snowflakes under a microscope as you discover the role math plays in nature before visiting the A Mirror Maze: Numbers in Nature exhibition.

Next, get excited about electrical circuitry with a fun challenge that incorporates both holiday lights and science myths about batteries, from lemons to potatoes! Lastly, before dark explore the importance of the North Star for navigation and learn how to find it in the night sky.
