18th Annual Medical Marijuana Benefit Concert

This event will raise funds for NORML of Florida’s (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws), Patients Out of Time and United For Care’s medical marijuana campaign, and the protection of patients’ rights. Currently there is a statewide campaign to change the medical marijuana laws in Florida that includes a statewide petition drive. As part of this three stage extravaganza, some of South Florida’s top bands, spoken word artists and community activists will join together for patients’ and physicians’ right to use medical cannabis.

Confirmed live music acts include Otto Von Shirach, Telekinetic Walrus, Johnny Dread, Nag Champayons, SunGhosts, The Oski Foundation, Purple?, Aaron Lebos Reality, Apache Dragon, The Galactic Effect, Kuyayky, The Tribe, Aura the Band, UOM, Fresh Air, Mr. Grim Reapa, Orion, Ellen Bukstel, Bobby Ingram, Orrin Bolton and more to be announced. The confirmed speakers at this time include Irvin Rosenfeld (legal medical marijuana patient and Director for Patients Out of Time), South Miami Vice-Mayor Walter Harris, Ric Margolius (Senior Circuit Court Judge), Karen Goldstein (NORML of Florida), Elvy Musikka (legal medical marijuana patient), Eric Stevens (United For Care), Dr. Jeffrey Kamlet, Addiction Specialist, Ray Strack (Law Enforcement Against Prohibition – LEAP), Steven Machat, candidate for U.S. Senate, and Damian Doss (Students for a Sensible Drug Policy).
