Medianoche | Lujan Candria

Medianoche reveals the mysteries of the night’s urban geography. Candria is seduced by the nocturnal and its lights—from the brightest to the ones that reveal the secrets of evening life. She uses the camera as her accomplice as she captures fragments of hidden realities and converts them into protagonists in a universal landscape—the nightscape of a city. This exhibition features works photographic and video works including the seriesHogares Encendidos.

Candria is a multidisciplinary artist who uses a wide array of media, such as painting, objects, photography, sound and video. A graduate in sculpture from Escuela Nacional Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón and Escuela Nacional de Cerámica Fernando Arranz in Argentina, she also studied Applied Musical Computer Science at Fonorama Escuela and Image Editing at Mac Training Center (UNTREF). Candria has presented solo exhibitions at Mock Gallery, Angel Guido Art Project Gallery, ThisIsNotAGallery, Borges Cultural Center, Espacio Urania Giesso and Recoleta Cultural Center in Argentina. Her work has also been exhibited interenationally including Finland, Spain and throughout the United States. She is currently a resident artist at ArtCenter/South Florida.
