The Miami Short Film Festival celebrates 10 years of cinema and community in South Florida this year, and some well-deserved festivities are in order.
A Decade of Shorts
The 10th annual Miami Short Film Festival promises to be big. In the run up to the big event, the festival has relaunched its website, added a brand new membership program, and established partnerships with Mobilfest Awards and WLRN to bring short films to a wider audience.
How It Works
Each year the Miami Short Film Festival accepts hundreds of 1 minute to 30 minutes submissions from all over the world and screens 90 to 100 films. In the last ten years, the Miami Short Film Festival Awards have become a well-sought out prize. Awards are given for Best of Fest, Best Foreign Film, Best Animation, Best Experimental, Best Documentary, Best Narrative, Best Environmental, Best Local and Best Music Video. Film selections are made by the Festival Committee.
The Miami Short Film Festival will be held in Miami Beach at the historical Colony Theater from November 14-20.
