Wonders of the World Wide Web
Saturday, May 2 2020
6:00 PM-9:00 PM
The online music festival named Wonders of the World Wide Web will take place via Zoom on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 9-12 pm EST and 6-9 pm PST. Local artists and DJ’s are determined to connect with fans and strangers operating through Zoom for a bigger cause. The individuals are there for the purpose to relate through passion, compassion, and music!
Natasha Nutka originally from Argentina initiated the idea in Los Angeles, California where she is studying to pursue her dream as an actress. “This idea came about because I feel a loss of connection with my peers and music is the only way to connect us again. Most of us also feel useless in the comfort of our couches so by using our talents we can fundraiser for such a necessary cause Such as UNICEF’s Covid Response Team” Said Natasha.
Local platforms from Miami, Florida Backroom Sessions and Rolling Bliss are collaborating with Natasha, also known as Thrifty Lions to produce the international festival online.
The artists participating are SkinnyVille representing Europe in London, Batawi from Cairo, Africa, Matias Villalba from Argentina in South America, Paper Water from Miami, in North America, DJ Hyorhee Macaroni Funky Club from Asia, and lastly Velvet Bloom from Melbourn, Australia.
The wonders of this night will not only come from the artists but the listeners too. The public is able to donate money to the UNICEF initiative who is taking a lead on preventative actions in communities to protect children’s health, families access to clean water, and protective gear during the Covid-19 pandemic.
As we continue to see the looming of COVID-19 play out, these young adults want to be a part of something greater in the communities they embody.
