William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”

To top off a week’s worth of scholarly lectures and cultural events celebrating William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, Barry University’s Fine Arts Department proudly presents, “Romeo and Juliet.” All are welcome and theater goers will enjoy this adaptation of the world’s most beloved romantic tragedy interpreted by student performers and under the direction of John Manzelli, Assistant Professor of Theatre at Barry University, and Antonio Amadeo, Associate Artistic Director of the Naked Stage. The show will run from October 23 – 27, 2013 with a post-show discussion taking place immediately following the October 24th performance. Dr. Ruth Tallman, Barry’s Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Manzelli will discuss the philosophical and artistic issues relevant to this play.

All performances except the Sunday Matinee (2pm) begin at 7:00 p.m.
