William John Kennedy: The Warhol Museum Edition

6:00 PM-10:00 PM

KIWI Arts Group and CU-1 Gallery inaugurate their new exhibition spaces on Thursday, June 27 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the historic Security Building in Downtown Miami.

The heart of the 1926 property has been transformed into a dramatic 5,500 square-foot creative site by CU-1 Gallery, and will be home to “Look At Me” – a group show featuring renowned European photographers Paul Solomons with Simon Emmett, Billy & Hells, Tina Luther, Christopher Thomas and Roger Weber. The featured works inhabit the intersection where fine art and fashion meet and set a new standard in photographic art in Miami and around the world.

Expanding from Wynwood with this second location, KIWI Arts Group will open their storefront Project Space @ The Security Building with the public premiere of William John Kennedy: The Warhol Museum Edition portfolio. The collection of five photographs reveal a young Warhol on the cusp of fame, and was created to raise funds for The Andy Warhol Museum. Eric Shiner, the museum’s director, states, “With this rare body of work, Kennedy has given us some of the most joyous and insightful images of Andy Warhol ever created.”

Serving as a looking glass into pop culture, both past and present, CU-1 Gallery and KIWI Arts Group are thrilled to be opening a venue dedicated to photography in Miami.
