The National Hotel, Collins Avenue’s elegant and cinematic Art Deco hotel, is hosting a Royal Breakfast in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, which takes place the morning of Saturday, May 19th. Tamara’s Bistro, the hotel’s signature restaurant, will offer a lavish buffet of staple breakfast dishes, as well as traditional English menu items to commemorate the British monarchy. The Royal Breakfast will be $40 per person, and includes one complimentary mimosa to toast the new couple, as well as tax and gratuity. Tamara’s Bistro will air the live, televised coverage of the royal wedding starting at 7 a.m. Guests will be able to watch as the couple exchanges vows starting at 7 a.m. in a ceremony expected to last one hour. Following the ceremony, coverage continues as the newlyweds greet invited guests outside the chapel, followed by a two-mile carriage procession.
It’s a common tradition for all women attending a British wedding to accessorize with an eye-popping hat or fascinator, a decorative headdress.
