Walk-Run
November 22 2014 - February 14 2015
12:00 AM
WALK-RUN is a collaborative installation featuring Face 2 Face images by Charles Recher combined with a Listening Gallery soundscape created by Rene Barge and Gustavo Matamoros.
This is a public art installation. Experience it daily (24/7) through February 2015, at the corner of Meridian and Lincoln Road, Miami Beach
The Peace features two people (sometimes walking, sometimes running toward each other) on their way to where they need to go. The sounds of the piece inhabit a different, inner mental space, one that is often occupied by thoughts and sensations of what’s around them. They piece was commissioned by SFCA [isaw + subtropics.org] to receive its world premiere during the exhibition, 30 Years On The Road, with support from City of Miami Beach — celebrating its centennial through projects supported by its Cultural Affairs Program and the Cultural Arts Council and by Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners.
