Courter Simmons has appeared as a star performer in three seasons at the Wick, including featured roles in Beauty and the Beast, The Drowsy Chaperone, Singin’ in the Rain, and most recently, Funny Girl. Jim Buff has provided spectacular costumes and scenery in plays for five seasons at the Wick including The Drowsy Chaperone, She Loves Me, Singin’ in the Rain, Jerry’s Girls, Pirates of Penzance, Annie and Funny Girl. Jim has also appeared at The Wick in two one-man shows and has hosted a previous bingo night, last year’s uproarious, Place your Bette!
DIVA BIOS:
Cacophony Daniels (Courter Simmons) is a live-singing drag darling from New York City. She has toured internationally with her cabarets, including Wanna Bette?, her tribute to Bette Midler, and Under The ‘ C,’ her tribute to the late Howard Ashman, for which she received a 2017 Bistro Award. She is a co-host of the weekly show Broadway Mondays at Hardware Bar. Cacophony has also been seen as the prissy “Queen Bee” on The Mysteries of Laura opposite Debra Messing on NBC. Her alter ego, Courter Simmons, has appeared at The Wick in Beauty and The Beast, The Drowsy Chaperone, Singin’ in the Rain and Funny Girl. He appeared on Broadway in Jersey Boys and is an actor and singer.
Electra (Lyman James Buff), who was created from a friendly dare and presented to large rowdy group on Halloween in 1977, has enjoyed a wild roller coaster ride as drag royalty: from summers on Fire Island to private parties throughout NYC, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey, Electra perfected her skills to become one of the most sought after female illusionist performers in the business. Throughout the years, Electra has received several awards for outstanding work in design and female impersonation. Electra’s ability to make you laugh or cry at the drop of a heel is unquestionable. In the smallest of venues to the largest casino resorts, her impersonations are wildly applauded and are so spot-on they make the real stars have a second look! There’s a reason Electra is known as “The Man of a Thousand Ladies” (Sun Sentinel).
