Betts, a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band will be joined by ZZ Top’s Gibbons, who is touring to promote his sophomore solo album, Big Bad Blues. Dickey Betts, who lives in Sarasota, is recognized as one of the greatest rock guitar players of all times. He won a Grammy Award with The Allman Brothers Band for his instrumental, “Jessica,” and also penned iconic hits such as “Ramblin’ Man,” “Good Clean Fun,” and “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed.” The Dickey Betts Band also includes Duane Betts, Frankie Lombardi, Mike Kach, Pedro Arevalo, Damon Fowler and Steve Camilleri.

Billy Gibbons, co-founder of ZZ Top, is launching a nationwide tour to support his latest release, Big Bad Blues, which will drop September 21. “The shift back to the blues is a natural,” he said. “It’s something which our followers can enjoy with the satisfaction of experiencing the roots tradition and, at the same time, feeling the richness of stretching the art form.” Billy’s band for the tour will feature drummer Matt Sorum, guitarist Austin Hanks and multi-instrumentalist Elwood Francis.
