Travis Tatum Mills, T. Mills, is the first generation American. Growing up he was influenced by music of every genre, but at a young age his uncle introduced him to Rap and the rest is history. In 2009 he made a MySpace page for his project, T. Mills. His first official release was the Finders Keepers EP in 2009 under Uprising Records. His first live performances were on the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. By 2010 his second official release, Ready, Fire, Aim! dropped. The single, “Stupid Boy,” blew up overnight after the release of a music video on FUSE and record labels everywhere called the following day eager to sign T. Mills. His hit song, “She Got A…” is also off this album and was an enormous attribute to his growth. At any T. Mills show, all of the fans eagerly sing along. In August of 2011, he released his third official release for free titled, Leaving Home. His single “Vans On” was his most popular song yet, it received attention from MTV. He was nominated for Breaking Woodie at the 2012 Woodie Awards alongside Lana Del Rey, Machine Gun Kelly and A$AP Rocky. Now embarking on a major headlining tour T. Mills is ready to take that next big step. “My old stuff just came from a place of, I don’t know, just fun,” he says. “Now, I’ve grown and matured and I’m becoming a real artist and writing real songs that are important to me. I feel like I can reach more people with the songs I’m making now.” As the catchy, genre-bending songs continue to develop, you can try to classify T. Mills, but that doesn’t matter. He’s going to keep doing it his way, like he has all along. – See more at: http://www.jointherevolution.net/2014/04/t-mills-mod-sun/#sthash.pQvXYakr.dpuf
