ANNUAL SPRUNG! CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL HAS A NEW HOME
A Playful Approach to Some Serious Beer Tasting
Miami, FL. – February 2016 – SWARM, the event management agency behind some of the largest and more popular South Florida events, has been part of the Wynwood movement, which everyone knows has become synonymous with street art, night life, impressive culinary scene and Miami’s first brewery. It’s with that in mind that they are thrilled to announce that they have successfully lobbied to bring the popular Sprung! festival to the neighborhood. “After Wynwood Brewing Company paved the way, other breweries followed such as J. Wakefield Brewery and Concrete Beach Brewing, and we’ve been witness to it all. Over the course of three years, we’ve run high profile events such as Wynwood Life and Wynwood ArtWalk, so it was only natural to want to bring our second largest craft beer festival to Wynwood, says” says Javi Zayas, president at SWARM.
Sprung! has always been the rebellious, little sister to Grovetoberfest, bringing a more free-spirited approach to some serious beer tasting of over 300 craft beers. People from all over come looking to Get Sprung!, which everyone knows is Spring’s rite of passage. In addition to the new location, Sprung! has made the date more in line with the Spring and Summer seasonal beers calendar. This year’s lineup will include ales such as New Belgium, Founder’s, SweetWater, Green Flash, Sierra Nevada, Brooklyn Brewery, Kona, Magic Hat, Shiner, Shipyard, Harpoon, Blue Moon and others looking to showcase their spring and summer ales. Representing Florida will be Wynwood Brewing, J. Wakefield, Concrete Beach Brewing, Cigar City, Miami Brewing Company, Tequesta Brewing, Hialeah Brewing, Funky Buddha and M.I.A. Beer enthusiasts will also be treated to a selection not available in South Florida, and in keeping with tradition, the homebrew section will showcase brews created by locals who are passionate about their beer. Aficionados know to keep an eye on homebrew participants, because more often than none, they end up opening a brewery of their own.
Sprung’s new home will be at 594 NW 23rd Street, Miami, FL 33127 at the RC COLA PLANT Mana Wynwood on April 2, 2016 from 4 – 7PM. Savvy festival goers know that they can get in a few hours earlier with the purchase of either a VIP or Beer Socialite ticket, which is $90 and $70 respectively and also includes additional perks outlined on the web site. General admission tickets are available for $40. To pre-purchase tickets, go to www.IGotSprung.com or call 305-461-2700
