In celebration of the opening of Marisol and Warhol Take New York, PAMM presents the newly commissioned multimedia performance Songs for Marisol by Roberto Carlos Lange (aka Helado Negro). The performance will consist of original compositions combined with a selection of Andy Warhol’s films featuring the artist Marisol. A South Florida native born to Ecuadorian immigrants, Lange is best known by his stage name, Helado Negro. He explores Latinx identity and pluralistic sensibilities in his personal and political avant pop music.
