SMDCAC presents Sin Salida, A Collaboration Between Union Tanguera and Kate Weare Company
Saturday, February 22 2020
8:00 PM-9:30 PM
In tango, the couple is everything. In modern dance, the individual rules. In Sin Salida, the adventurous Argentine-French tango troupe Union Tanguera and American contemporary choreographer Kate Weare create a riveting dance narrative around our most basic needs – to be together, and to be independent. Set to original and traditional tango music, Sin Salida (No Exit) is a passionate dance exploration of what it means to be human.
Before the show
Enjoy a pre-show conversation at 6:30pm in our Lab Theater, moderated by journalist Jordan Levin with company directors and special guests before their anticipated performances at SMDCAC. “Dance Talks” are free and open to the community.
