"LiVE," Connecting the World Through Music: SaludArte Quartet and the New World Symphony Fellows Strings Recital
Tuesday, November 18 2014
7:00 PM-9:00 PM
Enjoy an evening of classical music with a free performance by the SaludArte Strings Quartet and the New World Symphony Fellows Strings. As part of the groundbreaking program, “LiVE,” Connecting the World Through Music, the performance will feature internationally acclaimed musicians and will be live streamed for worldwide access.
Presented by The SaludArte Foundation, an organization that promotes the development of artistic, educational and social integration programs through the visual and performing arts, Mercantil Commercebank, one of the largest banks headquartered in Florida, and Brilla Capital, a private equity and asset and property management firm focused on the hospitality sector in Latin America, the collection of performances is offered in collaboration with the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy (NWS) and HELLO STAGE, the largest online community for classical music professionals.
This performance will serve as the international launching platform for the SaludArte Strings Quartet, which is composed of select members of the Medellin Philharmonic Academy (AFMED)—a music education program that aims, in partnership with the New World Symphony, to develop professional musicians coming from socioeconomic disadvantages.
The “LiVE” series will continue with three additional performances in 2015. All performances are free to attend and will also be available for view via Ustream (http://Ustream.tv/channel/live-connecting-the-world-through-music) and www.livemusicworld.org. Valet parking at Ideobox Artspace will be available. Please RSVP to [email protected] as seating is limited.
For more information on the series, visit www.livemusicworld.org. The 2015 performances will be held at the New World Center SunTrust Pavilion, and seats for those performances can be reserved at http://www.nws.edu/events.aspx.
