Resiliency Through Landscape Design in Public Spaces
Thursday, August 29 2019
6:00 PM-8:30 PM
Join USGBC Miami and leading industry voices including City of Miami Beach Chief Resiliency Officer and Assistant City Manager Susanne Torriente, Landscape Designer Christopher Counts of Perkins and Will, and Urban Impact Lab’s Marta Viciedo in a conversation around resilient landscape architecture. The panel discussion will explore how landscape architecture can be an effective tool to mitigate impacts of more frequent tidal flooding coastal erosion, and stronger hurricanes. Sponsored by Perkins and Will, Miami Design District and Witkin Hults Design Group, the event will offer an opportunity to learn what local designers, city officials, and community organizations are doing to implement climate adaptation strategies and to improve our local blue-green infrastructure by building with nature.
Tickets for the event are free. To register visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/usgbc-miami-presents-resiliency-through-landscape-design-in-public-spaces-tickets-67984335979.
