From February Monday 21st through Wednesday 23, FilmGate brings you a unique Cinematography workshop with RED Digital Cinema and filmmaker Industry Professional Phil Holand with unprecedented access to Stiltsville, one of the world’s most unique locations.

Stiltsville needs help. The goal to capture the beauty & history of these structures before their demise. FilmGate Interactive together with Stiltsville Trust & RED MIAMI have created an adventure for filmmakers, who want to enhance their skills, make solid connections and come out of the workshop with a short film to show.

The 3 day Master Class is intended to improve your craft, by with working with high end production cameras and lighting, as well as post production workflow and color correcting techniques.

Each team will be provided with a RED Camera Kit. You must bring your laptop/computer and a hard drive for the day of edit. Please note that you will be shooting on 5K to 6K resolutions, which means, you will need a hard drive of at least 2TB.

Day 1

RED Camera Store 10am – 6pm

– camera and lighting techniques

– pre – production

– story prep

Day 2

ON LOCATION – Stiltsville 7am – 5pm

Class will be separated to seven boats which will take us to the seven different houses, you will have a day to shoot in and outside of your house, under water, as well as capturing arial shots.

Day 3

RED Camera Store 10am – 6pm

– post production work flow

– rough edit

– color correction techniques

Breakfast and lunch is included for all three days. Transportation from the Deauville Hotel to the RED Store is included on Day 1 and Day 2. Transportation from the Deauville and the RED Digital Store is included on Day 2, Production Day.
