Poetry Pirates
O, Miami 2015
Saturday, April 18 2015
10:00 AM-1:00 PM
“Poetry Pirates” is a poetic pillaging of the Miami River, created and organized by artist Antonia Wright, in which YOU can participate.
Want to read a poem to the Miami River? Join artists Antonia Wright and Ruben Millares as they pillage the Miami River and its Saturday morning boat traffic with a poem. You’re invited to stand on the shore in designated places and help them recite parts of the poem, or B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Boat) and participate via the water. (There may or may not be mermaids on jet skis.) After the performance, participants are invited to the Wright/Millares studio for a backyard bbq on the river.
Participation information coming soon.
