Miami Art Museum presents a NWM2013/the end program: “Convicted for Comics: A Talk with Underground Cartoonist Mike Diana” on Thursday, May 16, at 6:30pm. In 1994 Mike Diana (b.1969) became the first artist to receive a criminal conviction for obscenity for artwork in the United States. Following the talk, Miami-based quartet Baby B Strings will debut their original arrangement of one of Modest Mussorgsky’s most famous works,”Pictures at an Exhibition.” The exhibition is among the last presentations in MAM’s current facility.
