Meet Patrick Jean, the French filmmaker on a rocket ride from a Vimeo viral sensation to a big studio director. In colloboration with the French Embassy in Miami and the Bill Cosford Cinema, we are presenting a retrospective of Patrick’s short format projects – from never seen 3D films to some of his more commercial works.

About Patrick Jean
A 2002 graduate of Supinfocom, Patrick Jean first made his debut as a graphic designer, creating credit sequences for television shows, and allowing him to develop his skills in graphic design and discover his penchant for direction. In 2010, he directed his first short film « Pixels », inspired by video games he used to play in his childhood. Pixels has been seen 1 million times in just 24 hours after its release, creating a huge buzz on the internet, and won around 30 awards, including the prestigious Annecy Crystal in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, Patrick worked on the Sony Pictures adaptation of his short film helmed by Chris Columbus, who wrote the Goonies and directed the first two Harry Potter movies. Following the phenomenal success of Pixels, Patrick Jean directed music videos, other short films and commercials for brands like Audi, Hermès or Eurostar.
