Ocean Drive in Vienna

The Miami Symphony Orchestra Concert at Collins Park

Sunday, January 25 2015

4:00 PM-6:00 PM

Mercantil Commercebank will partner with The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) and the Bass Museum of Art, as well as the City of Miami Beach Arts in the Parks program, to present an alfresco performance of the innovative concert, Ocean Drive in Vienna. Bring a blanket and listen on the lawn at Collins Park with your family, friends and neighbors. This complimentary outdoor performance offers a modern twist on MISO’s most popular annual production, An Evening in Vienna.

Led by MISO’s renowned music director and conductor Eduardo Marturet, Ocean Drive in Vienna blends Viennese waltzes, polkas and overtures by the likes of Johann Strauss, Jr., with the cultural vibrancy of Miami Beach. The performance will include MISO Composer in Residence Samuel Hyken’s recently premiered “Concertino for Toy Piano,” featuring Julia Bueno.
