AdHoc Cinema is a community-based academic program, staged as an ongoing curated film+music series,dedicated to engaging the community with thought-provoking, award-winning films of critical, creative, and historical merit. An inner-city after school program is being developed for 2015 & beyond, with a goal to help foster budding curiosities in and around the filmmaker/film patron dynamic.
Installation of David Tudor’s Rainforest IV – an electro-acoustic sound environment with resonant sculptures/objects realized by FIU School of Music: FLEA (FIU Laptop and Electroacoustic Arts) to activate the space during the duration of the day; this is a participatory activation.

1979 is a concept album and sculptural object, featuring nine songs by Deru accompanied by nine short films by video artist Anthony Ciannamea, that are housed in a customized handheld video projector. Live, 1979 is presented as the full album with each accompanying video projected with it’s respective song.
