Art/Work Connections is a monthly series of seminars presented by Life Is Art featuring business professionals speaking on a variety of topics vital to the success of working artists. This month we are covering something of great interest to all artists, grants! Did you know that individual (or groups of) artists can receive grants without being a charity organization? That is right, there are grants out there available to artists directly. Come and learn how to find those grants and how to apply for them.
The grant process sometimes seems overwhelming and intimidating, but it is actually fairly straightforward. We are going to break it down so everyone can easily understand how to find grants for which you qualify and how to apply for them. Research shows that south Florida does not get its fair share of arts grant money because not enough people apply, so come learn how to get your money!
About Eleazar Delgado Studio
Originally conceived at our home, Eleazar Delgado Studio has always been the artist’s creative space. The idea grew into a gathering place for our friends, mostly artists in their own rights, to showcase their current work and preview concepts. We made it official in 2010 when we opened a public space in Wynwood. Today in addition to being Eleazar’s personal art studio, we host local talents and leaders who need a professional environment to showcase, educate, and enrich the community at large. www.eleazardelgado.com
