Jai-Alai magazine, a literary journal produced by O, Miami under the guise of University of Wynwood, celebrates Issue #6 (the fifth issue) with a reading hosted by Editor José A. Villar-Portela.

Jai-Alai magazine publishes poetry, fiction, essays and black & white drawings with the goal of fomenting literary life in Miami, FL. Preferring suicide to a quiet death, the magazine began with the Spring 2011 issue (#10) and will end with the Fall 2015 issue (#1). Jai-Alai is sold in the same places where submissions are accepted: in unique drop-boxes designed by local artists and hosted by local businesses. All submitted work will be placed into an unedited archive that will serve as an additional documentation of Miami’s literary culture during the years of the magazine’s production.
