Inside the Music: Music Mirroring Identity — Reflections in Performance
Tuesday, December 14 2021
7:00 PM-10:00 PM
Enjoy an evening of works reflecting NWS Cello Fellow Chava Appiah’s own identities. She will discuss what it means to programs works of people “like me” and whether or not that translates to a fuller artistic and audience experience. Audience will be encouraged to reflect and engage during the night as well.
Join NWS Fellows for an intimate glimpse into their craft with behind-the-scenes presentations on topics ranging from music appreciation to the historic contexts of composers and more. Audience members are encouraged to participate by asking questions and taking part in post-presentation discussions.
Presentations part of the Inside the Music series are NWS BLUE projects. Fellow-driven projects are sponsored in part by the Maxine and Stuart Frankel Foundation and NWS’s Fund for New Ventures.
